Refunds, Transfers, Credits, and Withdrawals
There are no refunds, credits, or withdrawals within 23 hours before your session. You can move your session due to illness or other event. If you have a package and cancel within 23 hours, we need to use your package for that session.
No Shows
Our faculty travel to our studios to work with you. If you do not arrive, they are stuck without other work that day, since they were scheduled to work with you. If you have had a serious calamity which causes you to miss a private coaching session, please contact us at contact@seattlevoiceacademy.site and we’ll work with you to reschedule.
Returned Checks
A handling fee of $25 will be charged for processing returned checks. If your check is returned more than once or if more than one of your checks is returned, you must pay all fees in full by cash or credit card before you will be allowed to attend class or register again.
Withdrawal for Illness or Military Service
After full payment date (7 days prior to the first day of class), refunds or credits will be granted only in the case of (1) serious illness or (2) military service. To request a refund or credit, you must submit a letter WITH DOCUMENTATION (medical certificate in the case of illness or induction papers in the case of military service) by email to contact@seattlevoiceacademy.site. State the nature of the problem or your reason for withdrawal and the date of the last class attended. Documentation must be received within three weeks of your withdrawal; otherwise consideration for withdrawal will be retroactive only to the date that SVA receives your request letter.
Scholastic Drop
SVA and its faculty reserve the right to drop a student if they feel that a class (or classes) do not fit a particular student’s training needs.
Attendance & Behavior
Unless previous arrangements have been made with the instructor, all students should arrive promptly and stay for the entire length of the session. Repeated absence or lateness disrupts other students’ work. Students who are repeatedly absent and/or late may be asked at the discretion of the instructor to withdraw from class.
Any student displaying threatening, intimidating, violent behavior, or who brings a weapon onto or around the premises may be dismissed and asked to withdraw from the class without a refund. SVA does not tolerate sexual harassment in any form. Persons of either sex may be victims or perpetrators of harassment. Sexual harassment may occur between persons of the same sex. A report of sexual harassment may result in the student being asked to withdraw from the class without a refund. SVA reserves the right to refuse to register anyone who engages in disruptive or otherwise unacceptable behavior, including the use of alcohol or illegal drugs on or around the premises.

SVA hires professional working artists. Our faculty may book work during the course of a workshop or a private coaching session. While every effort is made to keep substitutions to a minimum, on occasion you may be taught, for as long as necessary, by a qualified substitute drawn from the SVA faculty.
